Stardate: 1-1-4192
LOCATION: Jacobs & Jacobs Law Offices at the Solicitor's Lodge (Solicitor's Lodge being a large building in Aquaricius Sector that houses most of the legal offices aboard ship)
Carlos's hover chair sputtered for a moment as he neared the door to office. "Damnnit!", he muttered under his breath.
A man pushing a custodial cart further down the hallway stopped and turned at the sound. "Everythin' alright Doc C?", the man's underdeck accent making the appellation sound like "doxey".
"I'm fine, thanks Anton. And please, don't call me that - I'm not really a doctor anymore."
"Sure Doc, whateva' you say. Thanks agin for them pills, they did the trick."
"Sure Anton, I appreciate your helping me out too."
Anton gave a brief smile as he turned and headed down the corridor. Carlos opened the door into his small office and wondered again about the wisdom of prescribing pills nowadays. He had kept his medical license active even though he no longer practiced. It had come in handy though. He had finally managed to get a place in Aquaricius a month prior and Anton had been kind enough to help him move without asking for anything in exchange - typical underdeck hospitality. During the move Anton had been late due to some of his extended family being ill - or so he claimed. Carlos had felt bad for the man and after hearing the symptoms, had prescribed some basic anti-bio pills. The stars only knew if Anton had been telling the truth or had gone and sold the meds down in the underdecks. Either way, Carlos figured someone down below was benefitting.
The hover chair sputtered again as pulled up to the console at his desk. "Have to get the damn charge port looked at again", he said to himself.
