Miles and his rag tag crew in vacc suits come to the Transport Tube. Miles looks around to see if there is anyone on this level that looks like they might be the "in charge" type, otherwise his group loads up on a tube going down figuring once they get within the Tauricius section they will find people in charge.
"OK, make sure you are fully in your vacc suit." Miles does a check on each of his students to make sure the suits are fully operational. "Guys, I am going to need your help because I will admit, I am a weakling. If we need to carry people I will be not much help at all."
"Hey, Linda, what are you thinking with the anti grav belts? Fill me in."

"Well, sort of exactly what you just said. I mean, if people are so injured that they can't make it on their own we can't carry a ton of them. So I'm thinking if we attach these to a stretcher or something it would make it much easier to maneuver." She shrugs. "Just seemed like a good idea at the time."

You make it to the floor you were directed to, and as soon as you step out of the lift there is someone there assigning areas. You tell him who you are and about how its the students' first day.
"Well, no better way to train that to have to do it am I right?" He hands a duffle to each person as he breaks them into pairs. "Comms on these suits are short range if you haven't learned that yet so make sure you are always near someone. Don't wander off too far. I'm breaking you into pairs because its safer that way. Use your suits sensors to find people and if they are alert and mobile give them a respirator and send them my way. We have people over there..." he pauses to motion to several kiosks set up to the side. "who are logging survivors. That way we know if there's any missing once we think we have this place cleared."
A student raises his hand and the organizer motions to him "How much longer will this area be toxic?"
"It shouldn't be longer than a day or two. Engineers are setting up filters now, the regular life support system isn't designed the handle this much toxicity so it will take some special equipment. Life should be back to normal it just a few days." Another hand goes up.
"How do we handle anyone who is wounded or has been overtaken by the gas?"
"Well, as long as they are still breathing, you slap a mask on them and get them back here. If they are critical, send up a beacon on your suit and we'll send an emergency team your way. I'll warn you though, the emergency teams are running ragged so it could be some time before you get help." he looks around "Ok, no more questions so go to your assigned areas and begin sweeping."
Miles and Linda have been paired up.
"Well, I guess its a good thing I have medic training." She grabs the duffel but strains at its weight. Dropping it back down the buckles one of her grav belts around it and sets it to hover at waist height. "Look at that, already coming in handy!"

By the time you and your class get down there, and get set up, the majority of the decks are swept through. Most of the folks you help are stragglers who were making their way to a checkpoint and passed out along the way. At the end of the day you make it back and everyone is accounted for, great first day teach!
