Roll for skills and training. (I allow you to pick the table after the roll.)
That is, assuming you intend to remain a journalist?

Same event as last time; You go on a tour of the ship, visiting several decks. Gain 1d3 Contacts. Definitely shaping up to be a well-connected, in the field journalist.
Time to roll for advancement (INT 5+)

My in-depth coverage of life aboard the ship has earned acknoewledgement from my superiors, resulting in a promotion to Staff (and perhaps the promise of some gritty journalism with my gaining of the Investigate skill)
Rolling for my Advancement skill (Journalist Specialization):

Streetwise! Makes so much sense as I’m learning about what it takes to live in so many parts of the ship.
Off to update my character summary thread and starting thinking about backstory!·

Holy smokes - 3 more Contacts! Yara really made her way around the ship and built some deep relationships. I see her working for The Homestead Companion, A folksy, “paper of the people.” It stays away from politics and investigative journalism and puts a focus on the Everyman. Almanac entires, advice columns, personal interest pieces - things that make folks feel better about life aboard this magnificent ship. Her father is a Correspondent there and got her into the paper originally as an Intern during her senior year in high school (or whatever it’s called here). Moore background as it evolves !
